And Amy was our tour leader! Thanks for having us there, Smoooch!!!
It is more than a week since all of us celebrate Chinese New Year today. How's everyone angpow market this year??? Mine is so so LARR... slight drop as compare to last year, hmmm... I think.
As we were mostly bored sitting at home, watching ASTRO munching our CNY cookies, BBQ meat away, we decided to crash at Amy's hometown for day-8 CNY celebration aka "PAI TIAN KUNG" 拜天公 (Prayer to Jade Emperor). We drove like for 2 hours or more to Teluk Intan to her home, gosh, that is one long distance to crash!!
Here's the member-member... kakakakaka...
And here's Amy's mom sweeting smiling mostly. She's a lovely lady.
Then Amy's dad was busy as well preping for tonight.
After dinner, while auntie and uncle busy continuing with the preparation, I was dragged into this 3-person mahjong.
It didn't take me long to learn and win the last game!!!
Back to the celebration...
Posing with the offering table...
Very very elaborate prayers!
Loads of offerings!!!
This is a prayer leaflet to be burnt and send to heaven asking for blessings for the whole family
Mostly we were waiting, feeding mosquitoes...
Then here come the labour intensive part... folding up the paper offering into a boat-shape, and stack them all up into a small little hill
And BURN!!!
BURN!!!
Alas, it was our turn to eat. Munch munch, but it was already 2am in the morning. Haha...
We had a very late start the next day.
Did a very touristy thingy after scrumptious brunch... Post with the Teluk Intan Tower (PISA TOWER OF MALAYSIA)
Tee hee...
And be swifted to a local must-buy ... the Hong Peah malt sugar filled biscuits.
While going home... I was being disturbed by my own members, pictured taken with my own camera!!
Chui Li then was playing Softlan advert pose at the back. That was partly because one of the automatic window was wounded half way up and staled, therefore we had to anticipate the rain seeping through before hand by preparing ourselves with towels. Duh!
